Woman’s head stomped by Paul Supporters in Kentucky *UPDATED*

ASSHOLE IDENTIFIED: Tim Profitt, Rand Paul's Bourbon County coordinator

From the Louisville, Ky, Fox affiliate, who has the entire incident on video– including the faces of her attackers:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) — Outside the Conway-Paul debate, a Rand Paul supporter pulled the woman’s blonde wig off and stomped on her head. She was representing the liberal organization MoveOn.org and claimed to be presenting Paul with an award from RepubliCorp. That’s a group created by MoveOn.org that focuses on what it calls the merger between corporate America and the Republican Party.

“I’m here to present Rand Paul with the ‘Employee of the Month’ award, however his supporters were not very nice to me and my message which is same as everyone else. I got my head stepped on and I have a bit of a headache,” said Lauren Valle, MoveOn.org.

The woman denied police were involved, but right afterwards officers pulled her aside to question her about the incident.

According to WTVQ, an assault charge has been filed, but there have been no arrests.

Blue Bluegrass has photographs of the man in the plaid shirt who is clearly seen holding down Lauren Valle as his co-attacker stomps on her head and neck.

Bring these brutal pigs to justice immediately!

UPDATE: Barefoot and Progressive has identified the stomper as Tim Profitt, Rand Paul’s Bourbon County coordinator. Profitt recently admitted to the attack by way of an “apology” issued to the Associated Press. Of course, he’s claiming the video makes it look “worse than it really was”, as if there is such a thing as a nice way to repeatedly stomp on the head and neck of a woman who’s being held down on the ground. Profitt is not only a monster, he’s a complete and total buffoon, if his statement to the press is any indication.

Tim Profitt, a volunteer with the Republican’s U.S. Senate campaign, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the camera angle made the scuffle Monday night appear worse that it was. He criticized police for not stepping in and says other supporters warned authorities about the activist.

“Gosh, the video of me stomping on a woman’s head and neck wasn’t nearly as bad as it looks, and the police didn’t do their job because they didn’t arrest the woman whose head I was FORCED to stomp!”

TPM has more. Now, who’s the oaf who held her down? Maybe he’ll make a similarly boneheaded statement to the press.

UPDATE NUMBER TWO: The oaf who held Lauren Valle down while Tim Proffit stomped on her head an neck is Lexington Rand/Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty group member Mike Pezzano.

  1. Atlas shrugged and then started head stomping

Jezus Fucking Christ! What the fuck? I mean I am not a fan of MoveOn.Org especially after their shenanigans against Ralph Nader during ’04 but what happened to that MoveOn lady is fucked up almost beyond belief. I say almost beyond belief because I know the folks involved with the Paul family and I have seen the Tea Baggers and paleo-conservatives and racist movements that are tied in with all of this and know they will do horrific shit like this.

Anyone who votes for Randy Paul or any idiots involved at all with the Paul family is basically endorsing this shit. Sure Paul has come out and said the same old damage control line as his Papa used when he was running but the message is still the same. “Violence is wrong on both sides except when directed at our enemies by us”

Fuck Rand Paul, Fuck Ron Paul, Fuck any Paul supporters and Fuck the police for not doing anything about this. If this were people on the left doing it the cops would have arrested as many people as possible and tried to throw as many books at them as possible.

    • Nonviolence™ is overrated. Take a look at the history of peoples’ struggles, and you’ll see that the vast majority of them were only won through physical force, and the force of arms — Vietnam, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Cuba. Even Nelson Mandela, held up as a saint of Nonviolence™ by American Liberals, was involved in the planning of armed rebellion against the white apartheid regime at the time of his arrest and subsequent 27-year imprisonment.

This type of thuggery by the rightists is appalling, but what’s even more appalling is the prevelant belief on the Left that it’s more noble to just sit there and let them kick the shit out of us. Take a look at what’s going on in France right now. They take no shit. They don’t fetishize Nonviolence™. They’re ready to do what they have to do in the streets to win. They don’t just sit on their asses, arms linked, singing “We Shall Overcome” while being beaten, gassed and tasered.

I won’t go on any further as I’ve got work to finish up here, but for more detail on the moral bankruptcy of Nonviolence™ dogma, I suggest you cast your peepers at this essay by Bill Meyers, at http://www.sinkers.org/nonviolence/ .

      Have a good one!

      • Atlas shrugged and then got his ass shot off!

Just as of note Mike the quote was a joke of Rand Paul not my belief. I am not into non-violence and love Bill Meyers essay but I am glad you are spreading the word about it.

If it were me in that situation I would have pulled out a 9 and shot those dumbass Rand Paul nutzis. They want too try and fuck with me they better think twice. Reminds me of a situation years ago when I was out walking and I flicked some idiot off who was driving like a moron in a huge SUV (not a hummer but worse) and he and his son come out of the car yelling and screaming ready for violence acting all big and tough and I reached into my pocket for my phone and they thought it was a gun and ran scared. At that time I wasn’t actually armed but they thought so and knew not to mess.

The sad thing is here in America all the militas are right wingers. Where are the freakin’ lefty militias?

        • ladylibertyslamp

Any time leftists of any stripe try to form a militia of any sort, the fed swoops in and people either spend the rest of their lives in and out of jail or filled with lead. That and leftists in the US are stuck in the ridiculous and paranoid cycle that any form of “confrontation” is equal to the worst forms of violence. The power dynamic ends up being lopsided with rightwingers committing increasingly brazen and egregious acts of violence while the only thing leftists can do is wring their hands about how morally superior it is to be victims.

  2. “Bring them to justice?” P’wahh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Where the hell were this woman’s “comrades” while this assault was going on? Why the hell didn’t they take any action to save her, or fight back? Oh, that’s right, I forgot — they’re Democrats. They’re good Liberals. They’re nonviolent. They’d rather just let a bunch of rightist thugs kick the shit out of them and then try to get “justice” through our rotten-assed court system. There, now, kids; see what you can accomplish through Nonviolence™?

Too bad this is the good old USA, where the people are well-trained, docile, compliant, cowed and pussified. Too bad this isn’t Europe, or Latin America, or any other place on this planet where people still know how to fight in the streets. There wouldn’t be any of this calling the cops and taking people to court bullshit; there’s be some justice dished out right on the goddamn’ spot.

Sorry I can’t muster up any more sympathy for this MoveOn chick; I suppose it’s due to having the Democratic Party stomping on my head for the past thirty-odd years. Perhaps I could be more sympathetic if the Democrats would stop stomping on the Left’s head. Yeah, I know… in my fucking dreams, man.

  3. Just a couple of thoughts to chew on, for those of you who still think it’s honorable to just sit there and let cops and Tea Party brownshirts stomp on you:

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. . . The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!”
-Alexander Solzhenitsyn, writing in “The Gulag Archipelago”

“There is no doubt in my mind that millions of lives could have been saved if the people were not “brainwashed” about gun ownership and had been well armed. Hitler’s thugs and goons were not very brave when confronted by a gun. Gun haters always want to forget the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, which is a perfect example of how a ragtag, half-starved group of Jews took up 10 handguns and made asses out of the Nazis.” -Theodore Haas, Holocaust Survivor

  4. Arslan Amirkhanov

Funny how she attacks Paul for being a tool of corporations, while working for a group backed by George Soros, who is the darling of wealthy elites worldwide.

Still, I have to go with Mike on this one. Non-violence is idiotic. Like Malcolm X said, “We are non-violent with people who are non-violent to us.”

  5. Arslan Amirkhanov

One problem Mike, Alexander Solzhenitsyn was a fascist, Tsar-romantisizer. His fantasy there was really of Russians rising up and killing the “evil Jews” he believed were behind Bolshevism. He denied any brutality under the Tsar, even denying that there was censorship under the Tsar.

But the thing is that he is right in the sense that violence could have saved a lot of deaths later- for example, if Solzehnitsyn and a few more key people had been shot- perhaps all the people who have died in Eastern Europe since the collapse of the East Bloc would be alive.

    • Huh. Well, I’ll be dipped.

Thanks for filling me in, though. Serves me right, I guess; about thirty-five years or so ago, when Gulag Archipelago was a big seller, the recently-“liberated” Solzhenitsyn was being hailed in the US media as some kind of big-time freedom-loving, free-thinking dissident, a hero of the Free World™, and all that jazz.

If only I knew then what I just found out now. Shame, though; great quote from the Gulag Archipelago, right on the money. Too bad it seems Solzhenitsyn was actually pretty much against real freedom.

      Thanks, again.

  6. Arslan Amirkhanov

Few people know about Solzhenitsyn’s real beliefs because when he came to the US and started criticizing liberalism(in favor of his Orthodoxy-inspired nationalist worldview), he became an embarrassment. Apparently back in 2002 or 2004 he wrote 200 Years Together, an anti-Semitic screed. He outlived his usefulness to Western Liberalism.

  7. Rudeboi

I say bravo to Paul. If you gonna stomp people with your words, have the guts to also do it for real. I just wish it was me, the fucking story would have been a bit different. ASHE!!
