Phoenix Rose With Racist Biker Gangs and Assorted Fringe June 5th ; Dan Smeriglio’s New South West Friends

Ancient land … ancient tribes….ancient terrortories of rolling dusty hills …battles won…battles lost…who is allowed and who is not allowed to stay and go…our laws are full of those who decide…and very little voice for those with an even smaller voice…or maybe its not its not that small…cuz…Dapper Dan Smeriglio has been having a hard time since Billy Gheen’s “freak out”…

June 5 2010 Phoenix Rally Organizer Dan Smeriglio Attracts More Racist Fringe

An old proverb of the nineteen seventies was : “never look into a mirror while on acid, the mirror will show you things about yourself you don’t want to see.
Gheen looked into Smeriglio’s mirror mirror mirror on the wall and didn’t like who looked back…we got the images and there is a whole lot of ugly…

Phoenix AZ June 5, 2010-With numbers falling far short of the projected tens of thousands of attendees, the June 5 “Phoenix Rising” rally attracted nearly 700 supporters of SB1070, Arizona’s “Papers Please” law. Organizers attempted to distance themselves from the looming cloud of white supremacist and racist ties by forcing their speakers to toe the line of “this isn’t about race.” These attempts fell flat on their face with attendees, speakers and sponsors from the broader white supremacist community.

Heat was certainly an aspect in severely denting the turnout, but the biggest factor were the reactions to organizer Daniel Smeriglio’s ties to white supremacists and the subsequent pullout of major sponsor Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC). Despite constant claims that their rally was not about racism or hatred, one one person had a tattoo featuring a shamrock inside a Celtic Cross—a symbol for the racist prison gang Aryan Brotherhood.

One of the bikers present and attending under the auspices of the “Sons of Liberty Riders” wore a t-shirt featuring the logo of the 1% outlaw biker gang White Boy Society; White Boy Society is tied to both the violent racist skinhead gang Vinlanders Social Club and the National Socialist Movement.

Acting as an official sponsor and operating a booth promoting the “American Border Patrol” was Council of Conservative Citizens and American Renaissance associate Glenn Spencer; Spencer is best known for promoting the ridiculous conspiracy theory that Mexicans are crossing the border in an attempt to re-conquer the American Southwest.

Another Crazy Misspelled Right Wing Sign

Five people were taken away by paramedics because of the heat, and organizers exacerbated the situation by not providing free water, instead charging one dollar for a small bottle.
Those that did not succumb to the heat heard speakers from equally suspect organizations like Barbara Coe from California Citizens for Immigration Reform, Rosemary Jenks from NumbersUSA .

An animated, raving speech and an appearance from Kevin DeAnna, a pro-European right wing activist from the Leadership Institute and is also the leader and founder of the pro-white/anti-multicultural college organization Youth for Western Civilization (it appears he wrote a report back of the rally on the white “racialist” site VDare.com).

Speakers who enjoy a brighter public spotlight were not shy about attending, either– former congressman Tom Tancredo, Pennsylvania congressman Daryl Metcalfe and Maricopa county sheriff Joe Arpaio all spoke. Rounding out the cast was a baffling speech from African American activist Ted Hayes, who referred to Al Sharpton as a “traitor” and declared that African Americans were responsible for slavery, and race baiter Ray Herrera talking about the superior “anglo culture”.

Tancredo’s Terminal Foot-In-Mouth Disease

Tancredo in front of the US Capitol, 2007

In the wake of the article published by One People’s Project that caused ALIPAC to drop their sponsorship of Dan Smeriglio’s June 5th rally in Phoenix, AZ, Tom Tancredo has been defending his involvement with the rally. Shortly after ALIPAC dropped out of the rally, he issued this statement.

“I am proud to be participating in the June 5 rally at the Arizona state capitol in support of Arizona’s new law aimed at illegal immigration, SB1070. The allegations against one of the rally’s organizers, Daniel Smeriglio, have been examined and are not only without merit, they are the worst kind of character assassination that no decent person in politics, left, right or center, should condone.

It’s not surprising that when asked about this scandal by Denver Westword, Tancredo defended his involvement with the rally thus:

In Tancredo’s view, the e-mail makes it seem as if he’s intimately involved with Smeriglio and his organization. Actually, he says, he spoke to him on the phone but has never met him. Hence, their only true connection is that Tancredo has agreed to speak at the rally.

So, who’s this behind Tom Tancredo, wearing a black suit and white lapel pin?

Hi Dan!

Who Are the “Friends” of Arizona Anti-Immigration Rally Organizer Dan Smeriglio?

Keystone State Skinheads AKA Keystone United

(Video-Dan Smeriglio’s Organization “Voice Of the People” having an anti-immigration rally in PA with Keystone State Skinhead Steve Smith at the Bullhorn)

A rally in support of Arizona’s “Papers Please” law set for June 5, 2010 has been catching a little heat because the organizer, Dan Smeriglio is associated with a few white supremacists, particularly the idiots at Keystone United, formerly Keystone State “Skinheads” (KSS).

But it is more than just an association with a known racist that should be a concern.

One of them in particular, Keystone United’s Steve Smith, has an extensive history with the more violent groups like the Ku Klux Klan and Aryan Nations.

The violence on Smith’s part got him in trouble with the law back in 2003, when he along with two other KSSholes, Keith Carney and Steve Monteforte attempted to assault a black man in Scranton, PA. This is a news special that was produced around that particular incident.

UPDATE There is an article from the Keystone State Skinhead blog talking about their attendance at Dan Smeriglio’s Voice Of The People rally.

Keystone United Attends Tea Party Against Amnesty
Filed under: Activism,Immigration,Keystone United News — Steve Smith @ 4:38 pm
by Ryan Murphy
On November 14, 2009 , several members of the North Eastern PA Chapter of Keystone United attended a local Tea Party Against Amnesty. This event was hosted by Voice of the People USA, in Hazleton, PA. This small city gained national recognition in 2006 when the mayor Lou Barletta tried to pass the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, which levied fines against employers that hired illegal aliens and landlords who had given them residency within the city as well.
The event started at 2:00pm in front of City Hall. We arrived there approximately at 1:45 to be surprised to see no one was there. As time moved on we were joined by two ladies who drove out of their way to make it to this event. The women were very disappointed to see only 4 people there when they arrived, but they were glad to see such young faces being active in a pro-American cause.
With six people being in attendance at the beginning of the event, Keystone United’s regional director of NEPA , Steve Smith, had an opportunity to do an interview for a local TV channel in Hazleton, which seemed to turn out well. Off the record, the reporter and the cameraman admitted to being on the same side as the Tea Party . Unfortunately, none of us were able to see the outcome of the interview due to the fact that we didn’t receive the channel back in our area.
Note : Wilkes-Barre TV station WBRE did a news report on the event which can be seen at this link : http://pahomepage.com/content/fulltext/?cid=111962
As the event continued more people started to arrive – approximately 15 attendees showed. Voice of the People USA, did not have any speakers or speeches lined up but luckily two supporters brought their megaphones and started making the best of the event by urging vehicles to honk their horns, This was done by chanting “Honk your horn if you oppose illegal immigration!” and other pro-American\anti-illegal immigration chants such as, “The majority will be the minority in 2040 if we don’t stop illegal immigration” and “Keep our city streets clean and safe ! Deport illegal aliens !”.
The reactions we received from the people driving by in their vehicles were just fantastic. Almost every vehicle that passed City Hall showed us support! There were only a few incidents where people yelled things at us, which I thought were negative considering the fact that their yelling was done in Spanish.
Towards the end of the event, a drunken mestizo man walked up. The Latino instigator decided to start an argument about what we were doing and even openly admitted to being an illegal alien himself! He claimed that he was on his way home from a hard day’s work which I highly doubted considering the strong smell of alcohol that was coming from him. The “debate” continued until the illegal began to get angry and started yelling profanities . We told him that there was no need to be acting in a disrespectful manner and at that point he stumbled off disgruntled. The event ended soon after that at 5:00pm.
All in all, I must say the event was a success for Keystone United. We had the opportunity to speak with new people and gave them some literature and newsletters . We also had the privilege to meet and talk to a gentleman all the way from Europe. He explained to us how European countries are facing the same issues of Illegal Immigration as we are here in the U.S.
Although the rally was a success, it was pretty disappointing to see such a lack of attendance. There is a war being fought in Hazleton, Pa – a war against illegal immigration. In 2007 when the ordinance was a hot topic, a rally took place at the same location which drew over 1,000 attendees. Now, there we stood just 2 years later with only approximately 12 people. I really hope the citizens of Hazleton will once again realize the importance of this fight and find the courage and strength in their hearts to oppose the destruction of their city and of our European-American heritage before it’s too late
