Georgia Christian School Says NO to White Power and Boots Marshall Rawson Out.

Once again, we have Marshall Rawson as a person of interest. It looks like Rawson’s extracurricular activities with the League of the South didn’t mesh very with the school he was attending; Shorter University’s vision– or rules, for that matter.

At this point in time, we are not sure exactly what went down. What we do know is that Rawson was very involved with the school’s Ron Paul-sponsored Young Americans for Liberty group, which appears to be the college youth wing of Campaign for Liberty. Out of that group appeared another odd youth group tied to the school called “Empower The Youth/Leadership Now

This group looks like a tool for the Hunt for Governor campaign, and one of their events was a gun giveaway via a raffle to raise money. With school shootings making the recent headlines, this looked like a bad plan from the start.

Now, in a post on the “Empower The Youth/Leadership Now” Facebook page:
Rawsonmpowered3How much of this is related to the school group’s gun raffle is unknown but there was another comment on the timeline of another Shorter University student:

Rawson

Even though Shorter is a very conservative university and a religious one, they also take a great deal of pride in their diverse student body; a good portion of the students who go there are African American and Hispanic. Having a student who is involved in a white supremacist nationalist group like League of the South is probably a big concern for the college. Throwing firearms into the mix is a recipe for trouble. We commend Shorter University for their good call and judgement in this case.
