White Nationalist Running as Tea Party Candidate for the Monongahela, WV Board Of Education

Harry Bertram's first presidential campaign was in helping racist scumbag George Wallace run for president.

Monongahela, West Virginia;- Harry Bertram is a member of the American Third Position party, a racist crew of losers we’ve covered in the past.

Much like his hatchling-nest mate Ryan J. Murdough, Bertram is attempting to slither his way into mainstream politics by appealing to the bloc of voters with whom he thinks he resonates– and he chose the Tea Baggers.

Memo: your pleas to not be viewed as racists are neutered when you not only refuse to ostracise but instead embrace and support blatant white nationalists like Harry Bertram and Ryan J. Murdough.

Here is the Jamie Kelso from the neo-Nazi forum Stormfront and White News Now announcing Bertram’s candidacy.

Please pay close attention to what’s going on in this thread: Bertram is not only running under the A3P banner, he is also the campaign manager for Ryan J. Murdough. This is a clear, documented link between not just two white nationalists, but the entire white nationalist forum, of which Bertram is a senior moderator of White News Now.

These are not specious allegations to “slander” the teabaggers, this is a clear case of teabaggers embracing white nationalists.

The thread can be found here

Bertram isn’t trying to hide his white nationalist allegiance, either– his campaign website is being hosted by and is a subdomain on American3p.org!

There is also a poorly shot and awfully edited video of Bertram “firing up a crowd” of teabaggers in West Virginia. This should speak for itself.

It doesn’t matter if a bonehead grows their hair out and puts on a suit and tie, they’re still a bonehead.

Target: Australia!

Put another shrimp on ye barbie, me hearties!

2100 UTC on Monday, September 27 saw another coordinated DDOS attack by anonymous, this time aimed at the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft (AFACT). Reports of the results are wildly conflicting, with AFACT claiming the attack not only took down their website, but also affected 8,000 other Australian websites, some operated by the Australian government. Netregsitry, AFACT’s hosting company, claims the attack prompted Netregistry to take down AFACT’s website while the attack didn’t affect any other site. Our own analysis– which consisted of simply attempting to access afact.org.au– showed that the site did not load at all during the time of the attack. Typical of the state of affairs on the internet, “hacker” attacks like these are portrayed as either being completely ineffectual or devastating on an apocalyptic level; the truth of the matter is that “real hacker attacks” are largely undetectable until a fair amount of time has elapsed.

Torrentfreak has more:

According to an announcement by AFACT’s host, Netregistry, “A DDoS attack began to take place at approximately 8:30AM AEST, with a group of hackers attacking the firewall by flooding it with connections attempting to take down all servers.”

Although referring to those charging their Low Orbit Ion Cannons as hackers is something of a stretch, and even though the attacks were eventually dealt with by Netregistry, according to Neil Gane from AFACT nearly 8,000 other websites were also taken down in the attack.

“A lot of these sites are small Australian businesses and Government web sites,” Gane told ITnews. “They have been affected by this senseless act.”

Delimiter has a different take.

“The AFACT website was offline due to Netregistry engineers suspending it as the target of the attack. All other sites on the shared infrastructure remained operational, albeit with some service degradation,” they added. Anonymous had planned to attack AFACT for at least 12 hours.

“We’re delighted to say our infrastructure proved to be highly resilient in the face of a particularly heavy and determined DDoS attack. All affected websites remained online and were back to full performance reasonably quickly, only experiencing intermittent connection problems throughout the day,” said Netregistry chief executive Larry Bloch.

If AFACT’s claim of “collateral damage” is true, the fault therefore rests on Netregistry for operating a woefully inadequate and obsolete system. If Netregistry’s claim is true, AFACT are bald-faced liars.

All of this is happening against the backdrop of the prospect of ACS:Law being fined £500,000 ($790,200 USD) for leaking its list of the pornography purchases of Sky Internet users. Read the BBC’s article and watch their video here.

The Hammer Comes Down on Andrew Crossley

Filesharing will kill music, just like the radio and the phonograph did.

Know what else was in those leaked emails from ACS:Law? Lists of users of Sky Internet and their pornography purchases. This isn’t just unethical, it’s blatantly illegal. The Solicitor’s Regulation Authority hit the tip of the iceberg of corruption that makes up ACS:Law. The thuggish and mafia-like behavior of the recording industry and its “anti-piracy” cronies are developing into a distinct pattern: illegal acts are justified if you are in the employ of a multi-billion dollar industry and are targeting college students, pensioners and people with no money. The gears of capitalist greed grind on– but not for long, it would seem. What greedy band of recording industry hitmen are next?

Here is Privacy International’s announcement.

Privacy International has announced that it is planning legal action against a UK law firm for breaching the privacy of internet users after a security breach.

The information held by ACS:Law, a law firm that has been tracking internet users to pursue legal action for breach of copyright, includes vast amounts of information on thousands of internet users. While the full extent of this breach is not yet known, one report stated that among the stolen files is a single email containing the personal information of approximately 10,000 people assumed to have been involved in file-sharing of pornographic works, exposing their names, addresses, postcodes, and Internet protocol addresses. Other reports indicate that credit card details have also been made available.

According to Alexander Hanff, PI Advisor: “This data breach is likely to result in significant harm to tens of thousands of people in the form of fraud, identity theft and severe emotional distress.”

“This firm collected this information by spying on internet users, and now it has placed thousands of innocent people at risk.”

PI has briefed the Information Commissioner’s Office and is preparing a complaint. PI is also accepting complaints directly from the public, and we urge anyone who is a victim of this breach to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing alex@privacy.org.

The BBC has more.

Simon Davis, from the watchdog Privacy International, said he would be asking the Information Commissioner to “conduct a full investigation” and hoped it would be “a test case of the Information Commissioner’s new powers”.

“You rarely find an aspect where almost every aspect of the Data Protection Act (DPA) has been breached, but this is one of them,” said Mr Davies.

“It fits perfectly for the term ‘egregious misuse’ of personal data,” he added.

Crossley’s reaction has been priceless, claiming that hackers broke into his site and uncovered classified material. This is another obvious and blatant lie. During the process of ACS:Law’s website being returned to operational status, administrators foolishly published the entire email database on a public page and made no effort to conceal this from the thousands of people then scouring their site with a fine-toothed comb. Crossley shot himself in the foot and is now trying to backpedal. Lolz.

*ALERT* FBI Does Multiple Raids on Antiwar Activists!!!

From Twin Cities IMC

Updated Info–At Least Four Minneapolis Houses Raided, Activists Subpoenaed in National FBI “Terror” Expedition Against Antiwar Activists

UPDATE 4pm: The office of the Anti-War Committee was also reportedly raided earlier today. See also: Search warrant for Mick Kelly’s residence and subpoena to Chicago grand jury (via TheUptake.org)

Press Conference: 4pm, 2911 Park Ave., Minneapolis

Community Meeting: 5:30pm, Walker Church, 3100 16th Ave S., Minneapolis

See also Fight Back News: Activists Denounce FBI Raids on Anti-War and Solidarity Activists’ Homes

The social justice community in Minneapolis continued to respond Friday afternoon to the raids of several of its members homes, which started before 7am this morning. (See previous TCIMC article–Minneapolis Houses Raided)

Since then, a dozen activists have been served with grand jury subpoenas, including many in Minneapolis, according to Fight Back News.  It is believed the federal grand jury is centered in Chicago, and is investigating alleged ties to “foreign terrorist organizations”–a charge which activists have immediately dismissed as illegitimate and unjustified.

The Star Tribune reported earlier today that according to an FBI spokesperson, a total of six homes were raided in Minneapolis and two in Chicago.  This statement is unconfirmed by activists, who have identified at least four of the homes in Minneapolis–one above Hard Times Cafe in Cedar-Riverside, one north of Powderhorn Park, one on Park Avenue near Lake Street and one in Stevens Square.  Antiwar leaders have said that other members of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization were targeted with raids, surveillance and subpoenas in Michigan, North Carolina and potentially California.

Grand juries are a mechanism historically used to repress and gather information on unpopular social movements; no attorney or judge is present in a grand jury interrogation.  Activists who defy grand juries risking imprisonment on civil or criminal contempt.

Outside the raid above Hard Times Cafe, one person at the cafe as the raid began said that he saw about a dozen FBI agents, some with large guns, outside.  Conflicting reports from the other raids indicate that agents attempted to keep their presence low-key, without large marked vehicles or heavily armed SWAT teams–although Jess Sundin told the AP that a SWAT team entered her house first, then left to be replaced by other agents.  But outside Hard Times Cafe, a number of the unmarked vehicles included at least one with an “official business” sign from the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) in addition to the FBI.

The mood outside the cafe and apartment was one of defiance, with activists and supporters vowing solidarity in the face of repression.  Early in the afternoon, agents began to remove boxes with unknown contents from the apartment, and eventually departed.  The search warrant for 1823 Riverside called for search and seizure of such a laundry list of items, including electronic equipment, documents, financial records, literature, and more, that “it might have well just said ‘everything’,” someone remarked after seeing a copy.

The Uptake, in addition to almost every local corporate news outlet, was present at two of the raids in the morning and posted a short video report on their site. (Photo credit above)

No immediate information was available Friday afternoon about the raids in Chicago.  The FBI spokesman, however, said that like in the Minneapolis raids, there were no arrests.  He added to the AP in Chicago that there was no “imminent threat to the community” – raising the question of how anyone could be suspected of terrorist ties without an imminent danger.

The answer, of course, lies in the increasing trend of the state in using “terrorism” charges to justify repression against activists, lately in Minnesota through the Green Scare, the RNC 8, and as many have predicted might happen, now against antiwar activists as well.

A New Communique from Anonymous

Andrew Crossley *PWND*!!!

Homepage of Operation Payback:
http://tieve.tk/
(Valid as of 24/09/10, things may have changed from then.)

To whom it concerns,

Over the past years we have seen an technological revolution. One where you are free, in the most extreme anarchistic sense, to share ideas. Some of these ideas are shared behind proxies, darknets, or similar “closed doors”, but the ideas are out there. This kind of revolution is of the mind, and its effects on respective societies is all but surprising. While the people embrace this revolution, this new “anarchy” of freedom to share, leaders have crushed and seek to crush it before it even begins in earnest.

These “anarchists”, who are only anarchists in the minds of leaders seeking to destroy this freedom, have succeeded en-mass in distributing content to the poor, the underpriveleged, the restricted. The most popular pirates are the chinese, whose content filters restrict a vast amount of content from them. The second most popular, the poor, who cannot afford things like college books or entertainment. Indeed, while mostly ignored, a vast amount of educational literature is available to the everyday pirate. Enough that saw me through college, even, when I otherwise could not have afforded it.

It is no different, though, than when these powers that be tried to silence the record player, the cassette, the CD. The same claims were made then, and they were ignored, so why now are they listened to? This flawed application of extremist capitalism upon what is considered sacred by any culture – knowledge – is treason upon every human. All should have the right to listen to that beat, experience that twist in a plot, or learn from the mass volumes of literature now made available.

You already know this, however. You know it when you freely give your unused software, illegally I might add (remember: You don’t own the software you buy [1]), to a friend or acquaintence. You know it when you give that old college book to a persin in need. You know it when little girls are basically raped in the name of “justice” [2]. You know it when thousands of bullshit legal letters are sent to SCARE money out of people [3]. You know it when such organizations lie through their teeth, produce false documents, and spread misinformation about its opponents [4]. You know that this is not right when your leaders inexplicably support massive capitalist enterprises over the majority opinion of their own people [5]. You know they are wrong when they use illegal means to get what they want, while simultaneously bashing us for doing the same [6].

If you were to assume the propaganda of various community-reputable organisations such as…

The Motion Picture Association of America [MPAA]
The Recording Industry Association of America [RIAA]
The British Phonographic Industry [BPI]
The Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft [AFACT]
Stichting Bescherming Rechten Entertainment Industrie Nederland [BREIN]

…you would have heard many a story that if you say, ‘pirate’ a film or an album, you are depriving a simple artist, actor or crewmember from their rightful wage. They won’t be able to break even for their next lot of groceries – and YOU robbed them of THEIR money. Money that they only see a small percentage of, they carefully omit. Do they ever tell you how small of a percentage most script writers, novelists, etc, actually make? No, and there is a reason why. Do they tell you how much THEY, the anti-piracy organizations, make? No, and there is a reason why.

In the end, our DDoS efforts have been compared to waiting for a train [7]. What do we have to do to be heard? To be taken seriously? Do we have to take to the streets, throwing molitovs, raiding offices of those we oppose? Realize, you are forcing our hand by ignoring us. You forced us to DDoS when you ignored the people, ATTACKED the people, LIED TO THE PEOPLE! You are forcing us to take more drastic action as you ignore us, THE PEOPLE, now.

We will not stop.

We will not forget.

We will prevail.

We are anonymous.

Justice for Parrot

From Luke

Dog lovers and activists protest murder of dog by police
Author
Luke
Date Created
22 Sep 2010
More details…
On Adams-Morgan Day,a DC cop shot and killed a dog in cold blood. It wasn’t enough to get a knee in the dog’s ribs try and choke him out, he threw the dog down the stairs and shot him. A little over a week later, animal rights protesters and dog lovers showed up in front of MPD’s headquarters at 300 Indiana Avenue NW.

One sign showed Parrot, saying “If I were a poodle I would still be alive.” A banner condemned police violence in general.

Protesters demanded that the offending cop be fired, and pointed out that he has a record of killing one of his OWN dogs, and also appears on facebook with a dead deer. A cop like this should be treated as someone working up to shooting people next.

It is widely suspected that Parrot was really killed for being a pit bull. Hmm-seems to me that MPD also shoots people for who they are, especially if they are not white. With an attitude like this, is it any surprise that dogs are shot for who they are as well?

*Update* Scumbag UK Lawyers React to 4Chan Raids

Due to the unsuccessful attempt to hit the MPAA with a DDOS Anonymous redirected attacks to the lawyer firm of ACS:Law located in the UK.

Despite their web being knocked down and temporarily suspended by their server, their site is back up and running, yet really slowly and the reaction is “Big Whoop”! What do they do to save their butts? Re-direct this deluge of traffic to an innocent accounting firm! This was the same tactic that Scientology used when facing the same tsunami of DDOS attacks; Scientology redirected all of its traffic to a Dutch school for children with learning disabilities. Scummy corporations all think and act alike, whether they’re extortionists or cults, they’ll always find a way to use the innocent as cannon fodder.

From the Register

Piracy threats lawyer mocks 4chan DDoS attack
‘Big whoop’
By Chris Williams

Posted in Law, 22nd September 2010 10:24 GMT

ACS:Law, the firm of solicitors being investigated by authorities over thousands of threatening letters to alleged unlawful filesharers, was attacked by net activists linked to 4chan overnight.

The firm’s website was brought back online at about 10.45am, following a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) strike.

It follows similar action against music and film industry websites over the weekend under the auspices of “Operation: Payback Is A Bitch”, coordinated over IRC by members of 4chan, the anarchic message board.

Andrew Crossley, the head of ACS:Law, told The Register the attack was “typical rubbish from pirates”.

“Big whoop,” he added.

“It was only down for a few hours. I have far more concern over the fact of my train turning up 10 minutes late or having to queue for a coffee than them wasting my time with this sort of rubbish.”

ACS:Law obtains court orders to force ISPs to reveal the identities of customers linked to IP addresses observed sharing copyright files in BitTorrent swarms. It then sends letters demanding payment of several hundred pounds to avoid a civil lawsuit.

The files are typically video games or pornographic films, with copyrights held by Digiprotect, a specialist German monitoring firm that aims to profit from piracy. ACS:Law does not usually take anyone who refuses to pay to court, however, and is currently under investigation by the Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority. A tribunal is expected next year.

Crossley claimed this morning that the only victims of the DDoS attack were the targets of his letters. “We provide an awful lot of resources to help people,” he said.

ACS:Law joins the MPAA and RIAA as a brief casualty of “Operation: Payback Is A Bitch”. The BPI, which was also targeted, managed to stay online.

The attacks have been linked to Anonymous, an ad-hoc activist group that came to prominence via 4chan as an anti-Scientology campaign. ®
